I had a slow moment when they were there, so approached them and commented that their baby (Ethan) is very cute. We struck up a small conversation and eventually I gave them a card. She contacted me a couple days later and we setup a date to start the session. The session was suppose to be on December 9th but that is the day we had that horrible winter storm. She called me, and we both agreed the session had to be rescheduled for another day. Safety first!

As you will see below we did some fun holiday ones and some that we were just having fun.

Weston Really enjoyed the candy cane I let him play with.  He was hitting Mary in the mouth, almost hit dad in the head. It was fun!!

Then I had to get Weston something else besides the candy cane, so I distracted him with something else. He was being a fun little one year old, Walking and exploring.

We had a blast!

The waterfall was roaring very well and it was somewhat chilly that day. They told me that the waterfall was not running when they went there to look around, so it was nice to get some shots of them with the falls in the background. Later on they wanted to get a photo of rings with their parents who have been married for 50 years.

It was really nice working with these two lovebirds and I hope to work with them in the future.

Ashley and Sean are very easy going people, so they were up for whatever I had in mind. We had a lot of fun as you will see below. It was a beautiful, mild day to do their session. We did the photos at Battle Creek Park which has caves, train tracks and even some small water features.

They kept saying they were not very “romantico” with each other so I told them that they needed to be just for this hour. It was pretty comical.

I had a wonderful time with them. I am very excited to work with them on their wedding in 2013.

The colors in the trees were beautiful and they had given the guests some pebbles to through in the small pond. Dan and Becky had big rocks to throw to represent their love.

The ushers were having a hard time keeping the chairs from getting wet. They had towels trying to wipe them off for the guests. They did great for what they were working with.

After the ceremony they had a big bus, they went to a little bar. We took fun pictures there as well.

Congrats to the wonderful couple, I hope we can work together in the near future.

Weston has been in several blog posts. I have photographed his three, six and now nine month photos. It has been wonderful seeing him grow. I hope that I can keep doing photographs for their family in the future and see Weston grow to be a little boy.

We started off doing the photographs outdoors, before it got real hot out. Sydney forgot some items from home. Her mom went back to get her things, while we headed to Irvine Park for photos.  We took some photos in a gazebo and by the big water fountain in the park.

Sydney enjoys the saxophone, that she has been playing for 8 years, tennis and softball…

When we arrived at the studio, the elevator was broken. We had to walk up 6 flights of stairs. It was a workout for us.

Graduate of 2012-2013

The temps at the session were very hot, even early in the morning at a cool 85 degrees.  I wanted to make sure we handled the outdoor images before it got even hotter.  We walked towards downtown St.Paul at Kellogg Mall Park, it is a beautiful little park. Once we took care of the outdoor images, we headed back to the studio to do some fun photos indoors. Travis plays Rugby so I wanted him to do somewhat of a rugby pose, (as you will see below).

I have had two great sessions with Travis and I hope I can keep working with him on future sessions.

The day of his session was extremely, extremely hot…. around 90 degrees…Maybe hotter in the studio. I felt bad that we had to do his session on such a hot day. To keep Jeff a bit cooler, I had lots of fans going. He also wanted to do some outside by Harriet Island, We did those last so that he would not be too hot for the other photos.

The photographs turned out great!! I wish I could show you more of what we had done, but they are a little too explicit to show on the blog. So I had to find some that was suitable to show. As you will see below.

Other than the extreme heat, we had a great time and I hope we can work together again in the future.

Weston did a great job! I thought it was funny how Weston would smile when I did not have the camera to my eye, but once I tried to take his picture he would not give me a smile. When we started getting some pictures in the trunk, Mary was singing patty cake and then he had all the smiles. As you will see below.

We went across the street to Harriet Island to take some family pictures, It was a bit harder to get down there because they were cleaning up after a concert they had over the weekend. Once we got down further we got some great shots of the family.

I hope I can see Weston grow and photograph him for years to come.
