Janre Photography is a husband and wife business that is run by Renee and Jason Hennagir. We primarily serve the Twin Cities metro area. Our studio is within an old shipping warehouse located on the east side of downtown St. Paul.
Janre Photography was originally established in 2009 under Renee's name: 'Renee Michelle Photography'. Once 2010 arrived, they re-branded their business as "Janre", which is a mutated acronym of the words "JAson aNd REnee". It's intended to sound like the word. 'genre', but they don't really care how you pronounce it. An image of their son peering over the railing of a dock eventually became their logo.
Renee and Jason started out photographing weddings for most of 2009 and 2010. Since then they have veered away from photographing weddings and events in order to tackle all kinds of in-studio sessions and share their summers with their son.
